Race Day Schedule:
Transition opens: 5:30am
Transition closes: 7:00am
Pre-race meeting: 7:15am
Race Start: 6-10yrs – 7:30am
11-15yrs – ~7:45am*
Award Ceremony: ~ 8:45am
*Youth Seniors will not start until all juniors have left transition area on bikes.

Baylor Sunny Kids Tri is a USAT Sanctioned event. The following rules apply:
In accordance with USA Triathlon requirements, all competitors must hold a USAT membership.
A parent or legal guardian is required to present their driver’s license AND child’s USAT membership card at packet pickup.
Parent or legal guardian can only pick up their child’s packet. Kids are not required to attend packet pick-up.
Race packet must be picked up at one of the above listed dates to be eligible to race.
Annual membership is $10.00. Memberships can be purchased online with registration, at www.usatriathlon.org OR you can purchase one at Packet Pick-up. If membership card has been lost, a replacement card can be printed from the USAT website.
Awards & Goodies Awards will be given to the top male & female junior & senior youth and the top three (3) in each of the following age groups: 6-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15 All finishers will receive an award! Participants will receive their goody bag & t-shirt at packet pickup.
Race day meeting: All participants are required to attend a pre-race meeting at 7:15am on race day at the pool area. Event particulars will be discussed and questions will be answered by race organizers. Plan on arriving early to check in and setup your transition area PRIOR to the pre-race meeting. Transition area will close at 7:00am
Transition area: Transition area opens at 5:30am and closes at 7:00. Bring your bike and all your race gear into the transition area, and find the aisle where you need to put your bike. Sidewalk chalk will be available for kids to “customize” their space for easy identification during the race. Rack your bike and lay out your gear in the spot next to your bike. Drink plenty of fluids, relax, and report to the pre-race meeting at 7:15am in at the pool area. After the race, check your transition area to make sure that you have collected everything you brought in with you. We highly recommend that you mark all of your gear, especially shoes, bike and helmet. You must claim all your gear as you exit on race day. One adult will be allowed in transition with athlete to assist with set up. After transtion closes, only race officials, staff, racer and volunteers will be allowed in transition.
